Kennedy Report

County 911 renewal levy provides 90% of the budget. And, the Drug Task Force is asking for new money totaling $556,000, annually.

911 has revenues of $4.4 million as of December 2021 (pg. 173) from the levy that is up for renewal. Without these funds, the county would need to transfer funding from the General Fund. There is a $4.1 million (pg. 159) cash balance.

Drug Enforcement brought in $467,000 (pg. 173) in fines and forfeitures in 2021 – their greatest source of revenue. And, had a cash balance of $19,000. (pg. 159). The levy, if approved, would more than double the budget for Drug Enforcement.
